A woman and her child were rescued from a vehicle stranded in floodwaters in San Marcos, Texas, on Tuesday, April 11. The National Weather Service reported nearly seven inches of rain fell in San Marcos, breaking the rainfall record.

Severe weather was not just isolated to the San Marcos-Austin area. At least 32 water rescues were reported in Killeen, and one person is missing in Fort Hood after a vehicle was swept off the road.
