At least six people were injured during an apartment-building fire that sparked during the early morning of July 20 in San Marcos, Texas.
The fire was reported around 5am at Iconic Village Apartments, near the campus of Texas State University. The fire started at one building and jumped to another, according to KXAN. One building at Vintage Pads, a student-accommodation building across the street, was also damaged.
At least 200 people were affected by the fire, KXAN reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The San Marcos River was closed Friday due to runoff in the water, according to Fox 7 Austin.
These videos show the firefighters battling the blaze at Iconic Village Apartments. They were shot by Gonzalo Tovilla who told Storyful he lives in the Vintage Pads apartment complex.
“I was at home when I heard the sirens and hurried over when I saw fire from my window,” Tovilla told Storyful. “I saw people getting in ambulances and police evacuating and the rest was just common police and firemen protocol trying to take the fire out.” Credit: Gonzalo Tovilla via Storyful
