Ne konsultimet e fundit për hartimin e programit qeverisës, për rendin dhe drejtësinë, Partia Socialiste prezantoi vizionin e saj për çështjet e dhunës ndaj grave. Për te theksuar se Shqipërisë nuk i mungojnë ligjet për tu bere pjese e familjes evropiane, por ne fakt zbatimi i tyre, lideri i opozitës u ndal tek fenomeni i krimeve ndaj femrës.
Krahasimisht, ne 2011 numri i grave te vrara ishte 19, e megjithe ashpërsimin e ligjit një vit me vone numri i viktimave shkoi ne 24. Kreu i PS tha se nuk mjafton vetëm kthimi i strukturave policore në funksion për të zmbrapsur krimin, por edhe një përpjekje e madhe e qeverise ne çështjet sociale, pasi dhuna i ka rrënjët tek varfëria, papunësia, apo analfabetizmi. Kryesocialisti theksoi se dhuna në rritje brenda familjes është tregues i rrënimit të përgjithshëm. Sipas Rames, në vitin 2005 kur PD erdhi në pushtet, numri i vrasjeve ishte më i vogël, ndërsa sot numërohen 12 mijë krime më shumë, një shifër e papranueshme në raport me të shkuarën por edhe vetë kontekstin e Europës ku Shqipëria kërkon të integrohet.
