Komisioni parlamentar i Ekonomisë kaloi vetëm me votat e mazhorancës draftin për heqjen e kufirit të borxhit publik, i cili sanksionohej ligjërisht,që të mos kalonte përtej 60%. Zv/ministri i Financave, Nezir Haldeda duke pranuar, se kriza energjetike po kërcënon ekonominë e vendit, pohoi edhe një shifër tjetër të cilën qeveria, nuk e kishte thënë më parë, se niveli i borxhit publik në fund të këtij viti shkon 60.5%. Debate për heqjen e kufirit të borxhit pati edhe mes deputetëve të këtij komisioni, dhe Arben Malaj tha se me këtë ndryshim po shkatërrohet sistemi buxhetor. Niveli i borxhit të Shqipërisë ka shqetësuar edhe institucionet financiare ndërkombëtare,dhe në shumë raste FMN dhe Banka Botërore kanë bërë thirrje, që qeveria të synojë uljen dhe jo rritjen e tij.
