Ambasadori i BE-së në Tirane Ettore Sequi ka kërkuar forcimin e luftës kundër krimit te organizuar si një kusht për marrjen e statusit te vendit kandidat. I pranishëm ne konferencën, me teme "Praktikat me te mira për një drejtësi penale te organizuar nga gjykata e krimeve te rënda", ambasadori BE-së deklaroi se lufta ndaj krimit te organizuar mbetet sfide për vendin tone. Gjate konferencës ku merrnin personalitete në fushën e jurisprudencës, gjyqtarë prokurorë si dhe drejtues të larte te policisë së Shtetit, Gjyqtaret e krimeve te renda kërkuan ndryshimin e ligjit për organizmin dhe funksionimin e kësaj gjykate me qëllim përmirësimin e garancive te tyre në detyre. Gjyqtaret e konsideruan te rëndësishme edhe ndryshimet ne kodin penal sidomos për veprat kundër trafiqeve. Kryetari i Gjykatës se krimeve te renda Sander Simonaj theksoi se gjate 8 viteve nga krijimi i kësaj gjykate janë gjykuar 1100 çështje me 800 te pandehur ndërsa vlera e aseteve te sekuestruara ne baze te ligjit antimafia ka shkuar ne shifrën e 20 milion eurove.

Present at the conference on "Best Practices for a criminal justice organized by the serious crimes," the EU ambassador said that the fight against organized crime remains a challenge for our country. During the conference, which took personalities in the field of jurisprudence, judges, prosecutors and senior officials of the State Police, Judges of serious crimes law called for change in organization and function of this court in order to improve their guarantees on task. Judges also considered important especially changes in the criminal code offenses against traffic. President of the serious crimes Simonaj Sander said that during 8 years from the creation of this court are tried 1100 with 800 cases of defendants while the value of assets seized by law antimafia went to the 20 million euro figure.
