Qeveria heq dore nga shifrat e ekzagjeruara te buxhetit, duke programuar një skenar realist, te asaj se çfarë do te ndodhe ne vitin 2012. Ai parashikon një rritje ekonomike prej 4.3%, një shifër kjo me e ulëta e programuar ne vitet e fundit.
Por ndonëse zyrtarisht është mohuar një impakt i mundshëm i krizës ne eurozone, mbi ekonominë shqiptare, projektbuxheti për vitin 2012 nxjerr ne pah friken qe ka qeveria nga kriza greke apo ajo italiane. Gjate prezantimit te projektbuxhetit 2012, për here te pare, opozita ndau te njëjtin qëndrim me mazhorancen për sa i përket treguesve konservator te buxhetit, por serish u shpreh se drafti i parashikuar nuk gjeneron punësim, madje nuk sjell një konsolidim fiskal. Ministri i Financave, Ridvan Bode, komentoi edhe programin ekonomik te opozitës, për taksat progresive. Për zotin Bode rritja e taksave nuk ndihmon ekonominë dhe bizneset.
