We seem to have entered a world of repeating levels. Last we had Outskirts of the Nuclear Reactor and now we have Flooded Tele-X!. As the level in question was already a Multiplayer level, that means that the only real difference is in some subtle alterations to the level.

The first, and most noticeable, of the changes is the removal of the Water on the outer ring. Instead, falling between the alcoves will just lead to a corridor below. The walls separating the interior (still Water based) of the room from the exterior (now air based) have been removed. Basically, we get more interconnectivity by getting access to the middle of the map, but lose the ability to ascend from the exterior portions. Really, the differences in geometry seem just to come down to preference.

The other big difference of this map is the removal of symmetry in item placement. Two more Thunderbolts have been placed in the map, meaning it becomes a much more viable means of combat due to the increased ammo. The Super Nailguns have been cut back, some replaced with Double-Barrelled Shotguns which are equally as pointless here. In certain cases, the Grenade Launcher new to this version might be useful, though it still is quite evident that the Rocket Launcher would reign supreme due to a lack of hindrance in the main element of the map, Water.

Also of important note is that this version adds a couple 25 Health, which of course is a highly welcome addition to this level as it prevents cheap pot-shotting. Of course, the bad news is that this means the Rocket Launcher will dominate even more here than the previous version, especially since no Armors or Powerups exist.

Overall, I feel like I am playing the same level. Anything of importance feels the same as before, while some pointless details have been changed. I suggest just playing one of these maps at the most to prevent annoying repeats, the choice mainly coming down to personal preference.
