Well, this seems familiar. It is Welcome to the Arena! from Dark Hour. Of course, they changed the texturing due to both using different texture WADs. The texturing of this one was changed to a single texture. Remember when I said this level was like Q2 in Dark Hour? Well, this might be the closest we have come since Q2, this level could possibly be akin to one of the better levels of Q2 (one with multiple floors and torches like Blackrock Castle).
Placement of Ammo and Weapons is nearly identical. The Ammo near the Singleplayer spawn point no longer exists, probably as it isn't needed to kill any Enemies (this level is just a Multiplayer level in Aftershock). There is a set of Rockets on the central platform in this version.
Geometry is nearly the same, though the odd divider in the Super Nailgun corridor is no longer existent. Instead, we get a massive leak near the bottom of the map which makes it possible to fall through the floor. Somehow, I don't exactly see that as an improvement.
From everything described above, I am pretty sure this is an earlier version of what we saw in Dark Hour. Either that, or something went horribly wrong in the conversion. In any event, while I didn't exactly like the Dark Hour version, it was a lot better than what we get here. A single textured level is never enjoyable, but it becomes even worse when it is dark purple and mixed with a lot of darkness (I think this version is even darker than the one in Dark Hour). Overall, this has served to give me a better appreciation of the Dark Hour version due to how terrible it is here.
