I was asked the other day when the 4th of July was...seriously? If people don't know when the 4th of July is, you could at least tell by the fireworks that go off. I would actually respect the question: what is 4th of July rather than when is it...and every American really should know what is 4th of July. I was never a big fan of 4th of July, it probably is because I almost lost my arm during a 4th of July celebration one year. I remember it like it was yesterday, I was seven years old, and I was with my parents during some 4th of July events. The 4th of July events were remarkable, there was a 4th of July parade, 4th of July celebrations, 4th of July activities everywhere...it was a real blast. My favorite part was the 4rth of July parade...it was going on during the day. As the night started to come, the 4rth of July celebrations kind of died off, but it was time for one of my favorite 4th of July activities: fireworks. I loved fireworks, except this time my arm was a little too close to the fire, and it almost worked my arm off. Luckily for me during this 4th of July celebration, I had small arms, and I have both of them today. So now during 4th of July celebration, I celebrate for having my arms...otherwise it would almost be impossible to write down this description.
