By reading these words you are just reading me
Lifting one of the many veils of my mystery.
Like I tried so often in vain to lift yours
And failed. Hence to me still you are pure.
By hearing these words you are just hearing me
Eavesdropping on my soul’s most secret folly.
Like I caught on to every word you uttered.
Through my vow of silence, your absence, I suffered
By touching these words you are just touching me
Caressing thoughts you shrouded in chastity.
Like I would, in my mind, your hand always seek
And would taste forever by just kissing your cheek.
By feeling these words you are just feeling me
Letting me in your bosom’s private sanctity.
Like I let you live in my own, to me, your second home.
Though life forbade me for this ever to be shown.
Upon reviewing these tenderly obsessed lines
No doubt you will want to ask: ‘But, Who is She? ’
The answer would have come to you, given time.
Now you may never learn, unfortunately.
