In a darkness of a moment
when the sun no longer shined,
I thought awhile my dreams of you
both sensual and refined.
I saw our love free and wild
the passion we release,
whispered words to unborn child,
days of love long ago when it all will cease.
In a darkness of a moment
with bitter pain before my eyes
you chose to call our last goodbye
in words the heart of lies.
Silent rooms and empty halls,
the shattered remnants of dreams
love lost to the void hopeless heart
and the inward words and screams.
In a darkness of a moment,
never forgotten,
never more.
