U.S. officials announced on Thursday the arrest of an Uzbek national in Idaho on charges he provided a foreign terrorist group with bomb-making knowledge and financial support.

The man, Fazliddin Kurbanov, a citizen of Uzbekistan living legally in Idaho, was monitored by federal agents for months, according to a New York Times report.

Between last August and May, he allegedly provided money plus computer software to members of the militant Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.

Kurbanov is also accused of teaching others how to build explosive devices, having allegedly shown people Internet videos and conducted instructional shopping trips on bomb making.

Authorities found him in possession of ingredients he allegedly intended to combine into an explosive device, including a hollow hand grenade, a hobby fuse, aluminum powder, potassium nitrate and sulfur.

The 30-year old is set to appear in court in Boise, Idaho, on Friday.
