Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan has emphasised that all civic institutions should use modern technology to improve their performance and to efficiently redress the public complaints.
Without having a modern strategy, it would not be possible to provide better facilities to the people, the Governor said during visit to various offal collection points in District Central on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha. He also inspected the computerised monitoring systems of the district administration, said an official statement here on Friday.
Administrator District Central, Superintendent Engineer Muhammad Iqbal, Director Health Nadeem Haidar, Ghous-e- Mohiuddin, Muhammad Akbar, Nasir Khan, Tasleem Baig and the officers of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) were also present.
Municipal Commissioner Central, Aafaq Saeed briefed the Governor on all four zones of District Central that all resources were used to collect the offal from all zones. For this purpose collection points were provided with Suzukis, heavy machinery and dumper loaders. Manpower was provided for slum areas to take off the offal and do other janitorial works with germicide spray in all zones of District Central.

Deputy Commissioner, District Central, Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman personally supervised all the municipal operations related to Eid- ul-Azha during the three days of Eid.
The staff at Main Control Room and at four zones of the District Central Administration was present around-the-clock to respond to public complaints relating to collection of offal.
