On the occasion of 65th Independence Day, August 14, 2012, President Asif Ali Zardari, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has conferred Civil Awards on Pakistani citizens and foreign nationals for excellence in various fields of activities.
The President conferred Nishan e Imtiaz on Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on his meritorious public service. He said that Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan was well-deserved and it was recognition of his devotion, dedication and outstanding contributions for the cause of public service.
