Al Qarra - Peace talks between the Seleka rebel alliance and the Central African government started on Wednesday in Gabon’s Libreville. Opposition parties are also attending the negotiations.

The discussions are organized by the Economic Community of Central African states. All parties will address the renegotiations of peace agreements signed in 2007 and 2011.

The rebels accuse President François Bozizé of failing to honor these peace deals.

CAR’s leader clearly said before the opening of the talks that he will not step down. But the rebels are asking for his resignation.
