The African Peace Facility is an innovative example of external action undertaken by the EU. It is helping to address the root causes of insecurity in Africa by supporting African leadership in the area of peace and security. The video features selected EU-funded peace support operations (e.g. Somalia, Darfur and the Central African Republic) showing the positive impact of the EU's engagement, despite the often difficult conditions on the ground.
