Abdul Elah Najim Aboud, a 64-year-old retiree in Baghdad, Iraq, reflects on the effects of the attacks of September 11, 2001, on the United States, in an interview with Al Jazeera.
"When we heard the news and saw what happened on TV- in fact the Iraqi people, civilians and the simple people had nothing to do with what happened. The incident follows an international policy and has known goals and until now this incident is ambiguous, there are people saying that Israel is involved in it but we, the Iraqi people and Afghanistan received the reaction, they have considered us to be involved in that incident but the people in fact do not have that and we have paid blood and rivers of blood as a result of this thing- we had no hand to do with it."
