Congress President Sonia Gandhi while speaking at a Congress rally in Uttar Pradesh said that the state of Uttar Pradesh started its down fall after the caste and religion based ideology dominated the state politics. “When both Uttar Pradesh and Centre had the governments led by Congress, the state of UP developed fast. But now, Uttar Pradesh is ruled by the non-Congress parties, which are indulging in caste and religion based politics. As a result the state is lagging behind”, reminded Sonia Gandhi.
