Hosni Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for 30 years until he was overthrown by a revolution in the "Arab Spring" last year, is reportedly unconscious and on a respirator.

Earlier, Egypt news agency has reported that he was clinically dead.

Mubarak was 84 and had been sentenced to life in prison earlier this month.
