California is in fiscal crisis and Governor Schwarzenegger has a radical plan to balance the budget by slashing government spending.

Fault Lines speaks to Chuck Devore, an outspoken opponent of tax-hikes who represents the people of Orange County in the California State Assembly. He is running for US Senate in 2010.

"Our policies are really subsidizing poverty and penalizing productivity," he says.
