In this installment of "Occupying While Black" I talk about the Occupy Richmond (RVA) movement. I am not a member of Occupy Richmond but I have been to several events and wanted to discuss my experiences. In the video, I talk about my visit to the Occupy RVA and their eviction. Nine brave individuals resisted and were arrested including Gregory Gunter, Sur Williams, Joshua Kadrich, Joshua Hunter, Christopher Gillus, John "Alan" Schintzius, Ian Graham, Thomas Darron, and Charles Evans. I also explore the African American involvement in the Occupy RVA movement. I share my experiences in the Human Right's Day march and the Virginia General Assembly. Overall my experiences with the movement have been very positive and I talk about several things that I learned along the journey.
