Bombers target Israel's embassies in India and Georgia Monday with a bomb going off in New Delhi while a second device in Tbilisi is defused.

Indian police say a bomb hit an embassy car and wounded a woman.

Israel had put its foreign missions on especially high alert ahead of the February 12th anniversary of the 2008 assassination of the mastermind of Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrillas.

Israelis had also warned of possible reprisals ordered by Tehran for the assassination of several scientists involved in Iran's controversial nuclear program. No-one has claimed responsibility for the Iran killings.

In Jerusalem Monday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pointing the finger at Iran.

(SOUNDBITE) (Hebrew) ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN "Today we witnessed two additional attack attempts, (targeting) innocent civilians. In the first an Israeli national was injured in New Delhi, and in (a) second attack a local worker in the Israeli embassy in Georgia. Iran, which stands behind these attacks, is the largest exporter of terror in the world. The Israeli government and security forces will continue to act together with local security services against these acts of terror. We will continue to act systematically, with determination and forcefully against international terror emanating from Iran."

Georgian police were able to defuse a bomb found in a car of an Israeli embassy staff member.

Netanyahu linked the incidents to allegations of similar but foiled attacks in Thailand and Azerbaijan last month for which, he said, Iran and its "proxy" Hezbollah were responsible.
