Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore received the Dan David Prize at Tel Aviv University on Monday, for his international campaign to raise awareness on global warming. The Dan David Prize is an international foundation which awards a prize of one million US dollar to individuals or institutions that have made an outstanding contribution to humanity. Gore said he would donate 90 percent of the money to the "Alliance For Climate Protection", a non-profit organisation seeking solutions to the climate crisis. The other 10 percent will be given to young researches, as required by the Dan David Foundation.
