The day before President George Bush's arrival to Israel, Jerusalem not only had to contend with the wet winter weather but also with anti Bush and anti Olmert demonstrations in the capital. Six Israelis were arrested by police as they pasted posters against the US President's visit and against Olmert and President Shimon Peres. At the western wall, worshippers donning sack cloths as a sign of mourning prayed against Bush's visit and the government's plans to hand over areas of the West Bank to the Palestinian Authority.01/08/08
