Likud Voters Take to the Polls

Thousands of Likud Party members took to the ballots on Tuesday to elect their new party chairman. Current chairman Benjamin Netanyahu, who leads the polls, expressed his concern over the growing power of the extreme right in his party, manifested in rightist candidate Moshe Feiglin. Likud voters spoke of Kadima Party members, who still retain membership in the Likud and voted for Feiglin to strengthen extremist elements and bring about the party's downfall. 08/14/07
