http://www.nma.tv Boss Frank McCourt and Major League Baseball (MLB) have agreed to a court-supervised auction of the bankrupt franchise. The sale could include the Los Angeles Dodgers team, Dodger Stadium ballpark, land rights and television rights. Who will bid for the Dodgers? Potential bidders could include Mark Cuban, individual investors such as Peter O'Malley, Dennis Gilbert, Steve Garvey, Orel Hershiser, and Fred Claire, and groups such as Blackstone Group, News Corp, Time Warner or Walt Disney. A sale would help McCourt fund a $130 million divorce settlement. McCourt had hoped to retain control of the Dodgers by winning the right to sell the team's lucrative TV rights in bankruptcy court. But MLB Commissioner Bud Selig has fought Frank tooth and nail, claiming he has 'looted' $189 million from the team for personal interests. The Dodgers are now for sale, but are they damaged goods?
