The Supreme Court has reduced compensation awarded by the Delhi High Court for victims above 20 years of age in the 1997 Uphaar cinema tragedy. The High Court had awarded Rs. 18 lakh each for victims over 20. The Supreme Court has reduced that to Rs. 10 lakh each.
