PAS vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar says his unexpected resignation as Perikatan Nasional treasurer was a strategic decision to strengthen the coalition ahead of the 16th General Election (GE16).

The Terengganu Mentri Besar dismissed on Sunday (Dec 15) talk of internal conflicts, stressing that his decision was aimed at enhancing Perikatan’s unity and political strength.
