Hundreds of passengers have been evacuated and all planes grounded after a suspicious vehicle was discovered at Birmingham Airport today (Wed).
Pictures show holidaymakers being forced to line up outside the terminal building while police conduct a fingertip search of the site.
Some passengers reported seeing army bomb disposal teams rushing to a car park at the airport along with police sniffer dogs.
Airport bosses confirmed the airport had been put into lockdown after reports of a suspicious vehicle.
A spokesperson said: “West Midlands Police is currently dealing with an ongoing incident on-site.
