भाद्रपद माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी के दिन गणेश चतुर्थी मनाई जाती है। इस साल गणेश चतुर्थी 7 सितंबर, दिन शनिवार को पड़ रही है। गणेश चतुर्थी के साथ ही 10 दिवसीय गणपति पर्व भी शुरू हो जाएगा। इस दौरान गणपति बप्पा को घर में स्थापित कर उनकी पूजा करने का विधान है। साथ ही, गणेश जी को इन 10 दिनों के दौरान कई प्रकार की वस्तुएं अर्पित की जाती हैं। हालांकि ज्योतिषाचार्य राधाकांत वत्स ने हमें बताया कि कौन सी ऐसी चीजे हैं जिन्हें गणेश चतुर्थी के दिन गणपति बप्पा को नहीं अर्पित करनी चाहिए।
