कैप्टन अंशुमान सिंह को मरणोपरांत कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया है। उनकी पत्नी स्मृति ने ये सम्मान राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु से प्राप्त किया। सम्मान समारोह के बाद उन्होंने बताया कि कैसे दोनों की मुलाकात हुई और आठ सालों की लॉन्ग डिस्टेंस रिलेशनशिप के बाद दोनों ने शादी रचाई। कैप्‍टन अंशुमान सिंह उत्तर प्रदेश के देवरिया के लार थाना इलाके के बरडीहा दलपत के रहने वाले थे।

Captain Anshuman Singh has been posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra. His wife Smriti received this honor from President Draupadi Murmu. After the felicitation ceremony, he told how the two met and got married after a long distance relationship of eight years. Captain Anshuman Singh was a resident of Bardiha Dalpat in Lar police station area of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh.
