An all-girls secondary school in Birmingham faced an emergency evacuation today after a suspected unexploded hand grenade was found nearby. The device, believed to be a relic from World War II, was discovered in the garden of a property on Bordesley Green Road. Army bomb disposal experts were immediately called to the scene.
