A man has appeared in court, charged with attempted murder of a pregnant woman who was stabbed in her home in December. Daniel Mihael Popescu, 29, of Merthyr Tydfil is also charged with witness intimidation and stalking. He was not formally arraigned and a 5 day trial has been provisionally set for June 3rd.

Two man have appeared in court charged with he murder of 30 year old Connell Evans who was found outside a Tonypandy hospital on New Year’s Day. Dewi Morgan 24 from Trelaw and Ashley Davies 30, from Pentre are both also accused of possession of a bladed item without good reason.

A report into sexual harassment in South Wales fire service has found firefighters have been posting sexualised images of themselves in their uniform on adult online platform Only Fans, something the service has tolerated. The review found serious deficiencies after 450 staff were spoken to in the report.
