Former President Donald Trump's legal team aims to appeal the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling that prevents him from appearing on the state's GOP primary ballot. They plan to appeal to the US Supreme Court by Tuesday at the latest. The Colorado court said Trump violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which prohibits insurrectionists from holding office, due to his role in inciting the January 6th Capitol attack. Trump's team also intends to appeal to Maine's highest court the secretary of state's decision keeping him off that state's ballot for the same reason.
