President Trump vowed to appeal a federal judge's ruling that placed a temporary halt on his new travel ban, calling the decision an “unprecedented judicial overreach." Trump announced his administration will take the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court during a rally in Nashville. “We’re going to keep our citizens safe. The danger is clear. The law is clear. The need for my executive order is clear" Trump U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson granted a temporary restraining order on the revised ban in response to a lawsuit against it in Hawaii. "A reasonable, objective observer ... would conclude that the executive order was issued with a purpose to disfavor a particular religion," Watson concluded.
