Daniel Lesage's Fatal Crash @ Rallye du Muguet 1999 (Aftermath)

The 16th edition of the Rallye du Muguet, held around Saint-Germain-la-Campagne, between the villages of Lisieux and Bernay, Eure department in northern France, on Saturday, 01 May 1999, was marred by a fatal accident.

Honda Civic #70 of Eric Lebas - Pascal Lebas went off the road during a special stage of the rally and hit two spectators. One of them, Daniel Lesage, 54, was killed and another was severely injured.

It was a tragic weekend in French motorsport, as several hours after the Rallye du Muguet's fatality, another accident took place in the Rallye du Val d'Agout killing the spectator Laurent Canal.
