Data from European Space Agency’s exoplanet mission… Cheops.. has led to a very surprising revelation. The data has revealed that an ultra-hot exoplanet that orbits its host star in less than a day is covered by reflective clouds of metal, making it the shiniest exo-planet ever found. This exo-planet is a scorching body with temperatures of up to 2,000 degrees Celsius where glass-like silicate and metals effectively boil into clouds. Hello…You are watching In-depth with ILA ! The name of this planet is L T T 9 7 7 9 b (LTT 9779 b). This brightest –ever planet has been described by researchers as a planet that shouldn't actually exist. The planet — about the size of Neptune— lies close to its star, orbiting it every 19 hours. It's the star-facing side of the planet that has a temperature of about 2,000 degrees Celsius.
