RBI ने 2000 के notes को वापस लेने का decision लिया है. इसका मतलब demonetization हीं है बल्कि इसे note replacement का नाम दिया जा रहा है. 23 मई से लेकर 30 सितंबर तक अपने 2000 note exchange करा सकते हैं. ये Legal Tender में बने रहेंगे लेकिन इनको circulation से बाहर किया गया है. RBI ने ऐसा क्यों किया? जब 2000 के नोटों को वापस ही लेना था तो जारी क्यों किया गया था?

You have from May 23 to Sept 30 to deposit these notes in your bank account or exchange them for other denominations. But you can exchange only 10 notes at a time. Why has the RBI done this?
