And right before saying goodbye to 2022, Brianna Heredia went out and witnessed the depressing state of Santa Cruz's ever-loved West Cliff Drive.
This aerial footage shows the extent of damage the California storm of December 2022 inflicted on the once-scenic path.
"On the last day of 2022, my boyfriend decided to get on a paddle board and surf in the storm drain in a neighborhood nearby," Brianna discussed with WooGlobe.
It's been reported that in addition to other temporary restrictions, a mile of West Cliff Drive had to be closed for vehicles.
