In June 2020, G2 Esports claimed the CSGO world number one ranking for the first time in the organization's history.
The first line-up to accomplish this feat wasn't the French super-team that G2 once housed, however, but an international line-up helmed by Serbian in-game leader Nemanja "nexa" Isaković.
Brought in alongside former CR4ZY teammate HuNter, Nexa's addition was designed to revolutionize a G2 that had long struggled to live up to its billing. The results weren't instant, but after nine months with the team he's finally taken a squad that many had written off to arguably greater heights than G2 has ever seen before.
We've taken a look at the stats behind Nexa's play, along with insight from Nexa himself, to examine just how vital he is to the team's recent success.
