From today, the festival of Chhath Maiya worship and sun worship is starting across the country. This festival is also known as Surya Shashthi. Lord Bholenath is also worshiped on the day of Chhath Puja. The festival of Chhath Puja is kept for health, prosperity and children. This is a 36-hour-long Nirjala fast. It is believed that this fast gives unfavourable fruits. On the day of Kharna, shopping and preparations are made for the worship of the sixth mother. People who observe fast on this day perform puja in the evening in a peaceful environment. There are many strict rules to be followed for making Bhog for Chhath Puja.
