Dewan Rakyat today passed the constitutional amendment aimed at discouraging political defections. The Constitutional Amendment Bill to introduce the anti-party hopping law was passed with overwhelming bipartisan support -- 209 MPs voted in favour, with none against -- far exceeding the two-thirds requirement.
