West Bengal's industry minister Partha Chatterjee, arrested in the SSC scam, should be removed immediately from his post and expelled from the Trinamool Congress, the party's state general secretary Kunal Ghosh demanded on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chatterjee's personal secretary Sukanta Acharya was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate today. Abhishek Banerjee called for a meeting at 5 pm on Thursday to discuss the matter. The probe agency recovered Rs 27.9 crore in cash, besides a huge amount of gold jewellery from the apartment linked to Arpita Mukherjee, who is considered to be a close aide of the Bengal minister. Chatterjee was arrested on Saturday after the cash was found at Mukherjee's Tollygunge flat. Watch the full report here.
