Heavy rainfall in Palghar has caused a landslide in Vasai’s Waghralpada. Two people have been killed, and two others from his family have been rescued but severely injured. A team of local firemen and NDRF rushed to the spot to begin the search and rescue operation. The Palghar Collector said that the rescue operations are still underway. Palghar is located about 100 km from Mumbai. The district has been witnessing very heavy downpours since Tuesday night. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in the district till 14th July.
