इस बार आषाढ़ मास की पूर्णिमा तिथि 13 जुलाई दिन बुधवार को पड़ेगी. इसको गुरु पूर्णिमा (Guru Purnima) के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. इसी तिथि को भगवान विष्णु के अंशावतार महर्षि वेदव्यास का जन्म दिवस मनाया जाता है. इसलिए आषाढ़ मास की पूर्णिमा को व्यास पूर्णिमा (Vyas Purnima) भी कहा जाता है. महर्षि वेदव्यास ने चारों वेदों की रचना की थी. इस कारण इन्हें प्रथम गुरु का दर्जा दिया जाता है. गुरु का स्थान संपूर्ण सृष्टि में सर्वोच्च है. गुरु अपने अनुभव और विवेक से हमारे अंदर ज्ञान रूपी ज्वाला को प्रज्वलित करता है. गुरुजनों से प्राप्त ज्ञान ही हमारे लिए सफलता की सीढ़ी है.
