Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday removed Eknath Shinde, who was sworn in as the new Maharashtra chief minister with BJP's support, from all party posts. Shiv Sena said in a statement that Shinde has been removed for indulging in anti-party activities. The statement also mentions that action was taken against Shinde as he has also given up membership of the party.
