A petition was filed in the Supreme Court regarding OBC reservation in Panchayat elections. During the hearing of the petition, the court has refused to interfere citing its earlier order. The petition was filed in the apex court by MP Chandra Prakash Chaudhary. The matter was heard in detail by a three-judge bench and the date of May 4 was given for the decision.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में पंचायत चुनाव में ओबीसी आरक्षण को लेकर याचिका दायर की गई थी. याचिका पर सुनवाई के दौरान अदालत ने अपने पहले के आदेश का हवाला देकर हस्तक्षेप करने से इंकार कर दिया है. सांसद चंद्र प्रकाश चौधरी ने शीर्ष अदालत में याचिका दायर की गई थी. इस मामले की सुनवाई तीन जजों की बेंच ने विस्तार से की थी और 4 मई की तारीख फैसले के लिए दी थी.
