मौसम विभाग (India Meteorological Department -IMD) ने साल के पहले चक्रवाती तूफान आसनी (Cyclone Asani) को लेकर अलर्ट जारी किया है. IMD के मुताबिक, दक्षिण पूर्व बंगाल की खाड़ी और उससे सटे दक्षिण अंडमान सागर पर निम्न दबाव वाले क्षेत्र से 20 और 21 मार्च के आसपास एक चक्रवाती तूफान में बदलने की आशंका है। संभावित चक्रवात आसनी के लिए भारतीय तटरक्षक बल (Indian Coast Guard) के एहतियाती उपाय जारी हैं। निचले इलाकों से लोगों को निकालकर सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाया जा रहा है.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding the first cyclonic storm of the year (Cyclone Asani). According to the IMD, a low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm around March 20 and 21. Indian Coast Guard precautionary measures are in place for possible Cyclone Asani. People from low-lying areas are being evacuated to safer places.
