आईसीसी ने साल 2021 के लिए वनडे फॉर्मेट की बेस्ट प्लेइंग- XI का ऐलान किया है, वो टीम जिसमें दुनिया के बेस्ट 11 खिलाड़ियों को जगह मिलती है, लेकिन इस बार खास बात ये हैं कि टी-20 की तरह 50 ओवर फॉर्मेट में भी किसी भारतीय खिलाड़ी को इस टीम में जगह नहीं मिली है, साल 2004 में आईसीसी ने टीम ऑफ द ईयर का ऐलान करने की शुरुआत की थी, तब से लेकर अबतक 17 साल में पहली बार किसी भारतीय खिलाड़ी को आईसीसी की वनडे टीम ऑफ द ईयर में जगह नहीं मिली है, इस बार लिस्ट में बांग्लादेश के 3, पाकिस्तान, श्रीलंका, साउथ अफ्रीका और आयरलैंड के दो-दो खिलाड़ी शामिल है... पाकिस्तानी टीम के कप्तान बाबर आजम को ही इस टीम का भी कप्तान बनाया गया है
