RBI के मुताबिक यह जुर्माना, बैंक से उधार लेने वाली कंपनियों में उनके "पेड अप शेयर कैपिटल (Paid Up Share Capital)" के 30 फीसदी से ज्यादा शेयर होल्ड करने पर लगाया गया है.
